Suits which fit perfectly should be chosen other than ill fit loose ones which will make you look skinnier. If you had chosen a suit which is too tight, you will still look skinny.
Lastly, avoid shoulder pads. These do not help you at all and instead, will add to the clownish appearance, as it will make you look like you are playing dress-up as a football player.
